Great Calculator is designed to run primarily on your device.
This policy applies to the current iPhone and iPad release of Great Calculator. It explains what the app stores locally, what may leave the device if you choose optional flows, what the app does not do, and how you can manage the data that exists today.
Effective date: May 2, 2026
1. What the app stores on your device
The current release stores app settings and committed calculator history locally so the experience remains consistent between launches.
- Preferences such as theme, number formatting, percent mode, answer format, and optional haptics.
- Committed history entries, including expressions and results you choose to finalize.
- A small local exchange-rate cache used by the Money calculator.
2. What may leave the device
api.frankfurter.dev to look up the latest available exchange rate needed for that conversion. The source and destination currency codes are part of that request. The conversion amount is processed locally after the rate is returned.3. What the current release does not do
- It does not require account creation or sign-in.
- It does not include third-party analytics SDKs.
- It does not include advertising SDKs.
- It does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not integrate with HealthKit or request Health permissions.
- It does not enable Apple Ads attribution in the current release.
4. How the app uses information
- Local settings preserve your display and interaction preferences.
- Committed history lets you review previous results in the app.
- Local rate cache reduces unnecessary repeat lookups in the Money calculator.
- Support email is used only if you choose to contact support.
5. Retention and deletion
- Local settings, committed history, and the local rate cache remain on the device until you change them, clear them, or remove the app.
- If you send support email, correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, and keep basic service records, subject to legal obligations.
6. Your current privacy choices
- Clear local history: remove saved calculator history inside the app.
- Change local preferences: adjust theme, formatting, answer format, percent mode, and haptics inside the app.
- Avoid online currency lookups: do not use the optional online rate path in the Money calculator.
- Choose whether to send support email: the app does not automatically send support messages.
- Remove app data: uninstalling the app removes app-local data from the device, subject to ordinary operating-system behavior.
7. Children
The current release is not designed to require personal information from children in order to function. The app works locally on-device and does not require account creation. If a child voluntarily sends a support email, that message is handled like any other support request.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when privacy practices, functionality, legal requirements, or platform requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a material revision is published.
